What is the PowerDoc AI system?

The PowerDoc AI is a PC system located in the physician's office that receives laboratory results directly from their reference lab. Test orders entered at the doctor's office automatically prints requisitions and are electronically transferred to the laboratories. A feature-rich analytic tool, the PowerDoc AI system allows the fastest most efficient method of communication and results presentation.

What is AI?

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence and is one of the unique, powerful features of the PowerDoc AI system. When results are received at the PowerDoc AI computer, scanning programs compare results individually and among elements for custom alert levels set up by the physician. This is in addition to the alert levels set up at the laboratory and creates a powerful way for doctors to use custom alerts based on their experiences and patient populations. AI makes it easy for the physician to highlight certain conditions ensuring consistent quality results analysis and accuracy.

What about Security?

This is not a web-based product. It is a direct link between the laboratory and the doctor's office. Therefore the PowerDoc AI system is not subject to the security problems that exist with Internet based products and a totally secure environment can be maintained.

How is the interface software written?

The PowerDoc AI system supports standard HL7 and ASTM interface protocols as well as custom interface software. Nearly all laboratories support these transmission protocols and we will work with your laboratory to install the PowerDoc AI.
